Ron Paul Offers Reading List To Help Giuliani Bone Up on Foreign Policy
Rep. Ron Paul's is keeping up his head-to-head rivalry with former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, with the Texas Republican releasing a reading list for Giuliani to improve his grasp of national security and foreign policy.
Paul and Giuliani are just two of the candidates for the 2008 GOP nomination for president. The two came into direct conflict during a Republican candidates debate over the issue of national security. Giuliani has stressed his security credentials in his campaign based on his performance leading the Big Apple in the days and weeks following the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
Paul's "Reading for Rudy" list includes Blowback by Chalmers Johnson, Dying to Win by Robert Pape, Imperial Hubris by Michael Scheuer, and the The 9-11 Commission Report issued by the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks.
"I hope Rudy Giuliani reads these books from top foreign policy experts," says Paul campaign chairman Kent Snyder. "We have also included some Cliffs Notes in case Mr. Giuliani is too busy giving $100,000 speeches on national security."

Thanks for the post on this important event.
Dr. Paul’s press conference and suggested reading list for Rudy is a brilliant move.
What most commentators on this story have missed is perhaps bigger and more important news, though. And that is the story about the man who was standing by Dr. Paul’s side at the press conference yesterday.
To learn more, please see my post: "Terrorism and Bin Laden Expert Has a Lesson for Giuliani (http://eric.langborgh.com/?p=557).
Thanks,
